I did a search on Wikipedia for "Youkai Daisenso", and found that the 2005 remake was actually shown at this year's Toronto Film Festival, under the name The Great Youkai War. See the above link for a review, as well as a picture of some neat looking youkai from the film ( Read more... ) -

I have to mention a beautiful website I discovered, which has just recently been launched. I found the link the other day in yokaimonsters, which was given by the webmaster of the site itself: The Obakemono Project. On a bit lighter, less ranting note...
Well, I'm finally managing to get some real work on my story, this past week. I've actually done a lot of research, and was able to sit down and do some plotting, figure out some plot points I wasn't sure of. If I can just keep doing research and keep working at it, I think I can start doing some of the real work pretty soon. It's hard, though ( Read more... ) -
